An introduction to the expansive version.
The Truth: I want to share my story before I leave this abode.
I want to share my life before I die. Yes, I know, it may sound dramatic. Lets put things into perspective for a moment. The moment we are born there is one thing that holds true. We will die. It does not matter how birth is defined. It does not matter what parameters are place around death. One is not mutually exclusive of the other. It isn’t a statement based in a foundation of morbidity but of acceptance of what has and will always be.
Life holds the space between first inspiration and final exhalation.
The Objective . . . to translate my journey into a learning tool
I want to use my journey in life to teach from a place of clarity.
What qualifies anyone to call themselves a teacher also holds true for anyone calling themselves a student. A teacher possesses a way of knowing the other does not. A student seeks knowledge they believe they do not have. Neither student or teacher can truly know what other does simply because they are not other. A teacher was not born a teacher they began as a student. A student who seeks knowledge has the wisdom to do so.
We are both student and teacher. One who firmly plants their reason for being either closes the door to being their expansive self.
The Mission . . . however God sees fit
The Credence . . . for you to find some actionable constructive value
It is plausible that you will find something constructive that will contribute towards your journey of doing life. I plan to share snapshots of what has been helpful and not helpful during my healing journey. Those snapshots were not generated by me I learned about them from others. I am simply the student passing along an interpretation of what was learned.
What is to be gained from learning that is not shared?
The Goal: To be, as also, I am. Show others that they are too.
I had a conversation with a friend who spoke to me with such conviction that he provided insight to concept I struggled to comprehend for more than forty years. I could tell others but did not know how to encompass for myself. When we were finished talking I thanked him for speaking so candid with me and sharing himself.
This is a small piece of what I took away from our conversation:
In essence, each of us are here for a purpose. How can you leave the world in a better state if you spend your time in one of two states? One by living in the shadows or the other by subjecting your light to shadow. This does not mean maintaining mediocrity nor does it mean casting shadow upon others. It means being luminous and doing what you can to be who you were created to be.
It reminded of the song by India Arie “I am Light” (listen here)
Most of all to live out the assignment that only I can complete.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
